1999 Foals

Below at 7 months with new owner, Nancy.  He's awesome!

BF Darq Fyre

He was born on February 4, 1999. He is a black Polish/Egyptian Arabian colt. He has a star and diagonal white socks. His sire is our own Fyre One. His dam is our Darq Velvet. His wonderful short
coupled back and very long legs combined with his beautiful head make him a likely stallion prospect. He is Sweepstakes & Futurities nominated.

Sonesta Farms would like to congratulate Nancy
Ward of Houston, Texas, on the purchase of this stallion prospect. News Flash:  On March 2, 2000 at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo's Arabian horse show Darq Fyre and Nancy won both the open "Stallions 3 years old and under" class and the "Stallions, Owner to Handle" class!

Below after winning Reserve Champion at the Pinto World Show with new owner, Trissa.

BF Saffyre

She was born on March 17, 1999. She is a black & white overo pinto half-Arabian filly. Her sire is Fyre One and her dam is a loud black & white overo pinto named Snips Party Doll. She shows every indication of being the wonderful mover that her parents are and should make an awesome show horse or broodmare.

Sonesta Farms would like to congratulate Trissa Carter of Victoria, Texas on the purchase of this filly.  News Flash:  Trissa and Saffyre were Reserve Champion at the 2001 Pinto World Show in the Futurity class!  Way to go!

Below at 6 months with new owner, Erin.

Amor Reta

The first foal by the Hanoverian stallion, Amor Reto. Born on April 22, 1999, she was born a dark bay, but is quickly turning gray like her dam. Gorgeous conformation and a sweet attitude. Her
dam is our own Illusive Dancer, a Native Dancer grand-daughter and dam of Cosette and The Irish Dancer. Reta should be a dressage dynamo.

Sonesta Farms would like to congratulate Phil and Erin Jaffarian of Fullerton, California, on the purchase of this lovely filly. Look for her on the dressage show circuit in a few more years!

Below at 4 months.  Wow!

BF Valkyrie Fyre

This darling filly a lovely bay Arabian filly
by Fyre One out of Fancys Rosalah. In the first photo she is less than 24 hours old and still looked a bit like a mosquito (according to my daughter),
but she has unfolded nicely and promises to be a real knock-out.  She is full sister to our BF StElmos Fyre, who is doing so well in halter classes. She'll be even better than he is.

Below at 4 months. Superb!

BF Fyre Hawk

He arrived at 6:15 pm on June 7, 1999, a HUGE
bay half-Arabian colt by Fyre One out of Drifter. In the first photo he had not even stood up for the first time and he already looked a week old. What a
giant sweetheart.

Sonesta Farms would like to congratulate Mike & Caroline Athey of Canton, Texas, on the purchase of this colt.  They are calling him "Bubba."
