Apollon16.3 hand Knabstrupper stallion.
From the website of Apollon's owner while in Germany: "After passing his grading in Denmark APOLLON was originally used at stud there. After winning his stallion testing at Vilhelmsborg 1989 this stallion combined a stud duties with a highly successful competition career, winning not only Dressage and Showjumping to M level, but also M Eventing.
Because of his quality as stallion he was awarded the Gold Medal as best Knabstrupper stallion at the 1990 Danish Agriculture Fair (equivalent with the German DLG), a rare and distinguised achievement for any horse, let alone a spotted one.
In 1995 Apollon appeared on the German Scene and promptly won Premium graded status at the ZfDP grading in Lentföhrden.
[In 2001, the first registered Knabstrupper foals were born in North America.
Apollon was their sire and has become the foundation sire of the growing
Knabstrupper breed there.]

Donnerwelt
16.3 hand liver chestnut Hanoverian stallion by Donnerhall/World Cup I/Bolero
Donnerwelt was a 16.3 hand liver chestnut Hanoverian stallion whose pedigree is a virtual "Who's Who" of dressage. His sire is none other than Donnerhall, generally considered the "Sire of the Century" for producing winning dressage horses. Donnerhall's get invariably inherited his good work ethic, excellent ridability and extravagant gaits. Donnerwelt's damsire was World Cup I, the sire of the legendary dressage stallion, Weltmeyer! As if this were not enough, his dam's dam sire was Bolero, one of the first stallions ever to receive a score of a perfect "10" for his canter! Donnerwelt not only looked like Donnerhall, he trained like him too. This was exemplified by his incredible leap through the dressage levels, earning national acclaim along the way. Within two years, under trainer Hilda Gurney, Donnerwelt went from first level to winning at Prix St. Georges. In the year 2000, Donnerwelt was the #1 Hanoverian in the U.S. at third level, with an average score of over 67%. He also placed 4th of all horse at that level in the USDF Horse of the Year awards. In his debut year at Prix St. Georges in 2001, Donnerwelt earned scores up to 73%. Donnerwelt was ready to begin his Grand Prix career when he died in 2004. The Oldenburg Verband has remarked that all of Donnerwelt's offspring look like "mini-Donnerhalls." Nearly 100% of his foals have been rated First Premium status and many have been inspection site champion foals. Donnerwelt is approved with the Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar, Oldenburg Verband and ISR/Old.
